Brotosudarmo is director of Ma Chung Research Center for Photosynthetic Pigments (MRCPP), Ma Chung University. He teaches biochemistry and analytical instrumentation at the chemistry study program at Ma Chung. He also holds a position as Honorable Associate Professor at Shizuoka University, Japan. Currently, he is the Chair of Marie Curie Alumni Association (MCAA) Southeast Asia Chapter, a growing network of outstanding researchers from ASEAN who have benifited from the Marie Sklodowska Curie Fellowship from EU. Brotosudarmo research group works in biological materials and is interested in the following topics: (1) structure and photochemical properties of photosynthetic pigments and complexes; (2) metabolomics study of plants, algae, fungi, and coral endophytic microorganisms during stages of cell growth and development for biotechnology application and medicines; (3) metabolomics study on food specially fruits and food products; (4) development of optical imaging method for monitoring plant health. Brotosudarmo Laboratory at Ma Chung University has modern facilities supported by Shimadzu Collaboration Laboratory and well equipped with HPLC, GC, LC-ESI-MS/MS, UV-Vis-NIR Spectroscopy, homebuild confocal microscopy, and fabrication laboratory. |
